What Happens When You Delete

Deleting your account will permanently remove:

  • Your profile and personal information
  • All heart transactions and history
  • Messages and comments
  • Shared images and media
  • Care style preferences and rankings
  • Date promises and planned activities
  • All stats and insights data

This action cannot be undone. Your partner will be notified that you have left.

Option 1: Delete from the App

The easiest way to delete your account is directly from the Tango app:

  1. Open Tango and go to your Profile
  2. Scroll down to Account Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm your decision

Your account and all data will be deleted immediately.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you can't access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

Include the email address associated with your account. We'll process your request within 48 hours.

Data Retention Policy

When you delete your account:

  • All personal data is deleted immediately from our active systems
  • Backups containing your data are purged within 30 days
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained
  • We do not retain any personally identifiable information
